Come and join JMU's Kappa Delta Pi's team in Relay for Life on April 21, 2017! Cancer has touched many of us in some way, so we decided to fight back by raising funds and walking in our local American Cancer Society Relay For Life event.
As a team, we are taking action to help eliminate cancer as a major health problem. At our Relay event, we will take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society in their lifesaving mission.
Please join our team or make a donation. Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, one dollar at a time.
You can find our team page here to sign up or just to donate:

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Conference offers learning opportunities to girls and teens who live in the Valley area and are interested in STEM. The EYH Conference will be on Saturday, March 18th and will take place in Memorial Hall from 8am to 3:30pm. Professors from the math and science departments are looking for volunteers to help them keep the conference running smoothly. Many KDP members have volunteered in the past and loved their experience!
Girls arrive with parents, or are dropped off, and recieve their registration/checkin materials. There is usually a keynote speaker, then the girls go to the sessions they signed up for. Some tasks you may be asked to help with will be:
Session helper - Assisting the speaker with their presentation. Passing out papers, clicking through slides, etc.
Hall director - Give directions, since we all know how confusing Memorial is!!
Checkin/Lunch/Survey collector - You'll be given instructions depending on which time slot you volunteer for.
Set up and Clean up
A website will be sent out to those who sign up to volunteer (Link coming soon!) with a survey to determine what time(s) you can volunteer, tshirt size, lunch option, and other basic information. You must fill out this survey to volunteer! (Link, also coming soon)
